Welcome to JP Biblical Counseling

At JP Biblical Counseling, we provide biblically grounded, clinically informed counseling to promote mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual healing. The nature of this counseling is a church-based ministry of God’s Word - an extension of our normal evangelistic and discipleship ministries rather than a secular professional activity. We believe that all the problems we face in life are simultaneously spiritual and psychological. Because of this, our goal is to provide biblically informed counseling that meets the individuals specific challenges and at the same time honors the Lord Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to bringing the wisdom of God’s Word, the hope and power of His Gospel, and the unique relevance of the church community into the care of persons, as well as their marriages and families.

Our Services

We address the unique dynamics of each situation by seeking to understand the whole person. We believe that the problems we face are a whole-person experience. Therefore, by following a holistic approach to biblical counseling, we seek to understand the individual's mental, emotional, relational, and/or spiritual concerns while acknowledging the impact of these concerns on the body. Concerns we commonly address include: anger management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parent-child relationship, relational or family conflict, spirituality, and stress management. Therefore, as a ministry of Jackson Park Baptist Church, we desire our services to reflect our dedication to bringing the wisdom of God’s Word, the hope of power of His Gospel, and the unique relevance of the church community into the care of persons, as well as their marriages and families.

Financial Gifts, Not Fees

The fair-market value of counseling in the Kannapolis/Concord area averages $100-175 per 50-minute session. However, there are no set fees for services offered through JP Biblical Counseling as we have chosen to provide biblical counseling as a church-based ministry of God’s Word - an extension of our normal evangelistic and discipleship ministries. Additionally, JPBC does not want to deny help to those who are in need but cannot pursue help because of financial hardship. Please carefully consider and pray how you might contribute to JP Biblical Counseling. The suggested contribution is $25-$50 per session. Please contact our Director of Biblical Counseling if you would like to contribute to the JP Biblical Counseling ministry.

Requesting a Professional Consultation

We believe that the primary context of biblical counseling is the local church community. Because of this, we desire to come alongside churches as partners in ministry and provide professional consultations to others serving in a biblical counseling role within their local church.

Meet the Director of Biblical Counseling

Whitley Morrow is from Concord, North Carolina but her family roots are in the Appalachian Mountains. She has been married to her husband, Blake, since 2020. Blake and Whitley have a son named Jack and are enjoying being first-time parents. They also love animals and have three pets in their home.

Whitley has been an active Jackson Park Baptist Church member since 2018 and has served as the Director of Biblical Counseling since 2023. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Counseling from the College at Southeastern and her Master of Arts degree in Christian Marital, Family, and Individual Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Whitley’s focus is adult, child, and adolescent counseling. Additionally, she has a heart for helping parents navigate the difficulties of parenthood and cultivating discipleship within the family system.

When she is not spending time with her family or serving others through biblical counseling, Whitley enjoys spending time around nature and animals, drinking coffee, and learning new things. A fun fact about Whitley is she is a Registered Veterinary Technician in North Carolina and worked in the veterinary field for many years before becoming a Biblical Counselor.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, by bringing the wisdom of God’s Word, the hope and power of His Gospel, and the unique relevance of the church community into the care of persons, as well as their marriages and families. May God encourage, bless, and empower you in these coming days!
